May 9, 1973 The President Veterans Federation of the Philippines Philvets Bank Annex Bldg. Bonifacio Drive, Port Area Manila S i r : In reply to your letter dated May 8, 1973, I have the honor to inform you as follows: All benefits received under the Armed Forces Retirement Act, as amended by Republic Act No. 2310 are exempt from income tax. All benefits received under the laws of the United States administered by the United States Veterans Administration relating to veterans residing in the Philippines are also exempt from income tax pursuant to Republic Act No. 360. cdta Very truly yours, (SGD.)
