March 19, 1970 Mr. Hugo Parkman Business Manager The Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention 2444 Taft Ave., Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated March 16, 1970 requesting information as to whether or not the tax exemptions granted under Republic Act No. 1916 have been repealed by recent laws. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that up to this writing, the tax exemption provisions of Republic Act No. 1916 have not been repealed by any law, particularly Republic Act No. 6110. Consequently, donations of Motor vehicles from abroad and consigned to, and for the personal use of, your religious organization, are exempt from the compensating tax, in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 1916. casia Very truly yours, MISAEL P.
