Edilberto Exaltacion Proprietor Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated May 12, 1970 requesting information as to rate of sales tax due on locally manufactured pianos. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that locally manufactured pianos are subject to the 40% sales tax imposed in Section 185(g) of the Tax Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 6110. acd Very truly yours, MISAEL P.
