Box 116 Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated December 6, 1971 requesting that your Office be furnished with data on our sales tax collection on footwear and clothing (domestic production) and tax collection on imported footwear and clothings for the years 1950 to 1970. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that this Office does not maintain statistics on collections of sales taxes on industry to industry basis. Our statistical record on taxes collected is based on the different kinds and rates of taxes. Hence, your request cannot be granted. Very truly yours, MISAEL P. VERA Commissioner of Internal Revenue
