Banal Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your application for an Authority to Release imported goods consisting of 1,000 dozens nail and cuticle nippers wherein it is requested that the same be subject to 7% advance sales tax. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that imported nail and cuticle nippers are subject to 7% advance sales tax based on the total landed cost thereof, plus 25% mark-up pursuant to Section 186, in relation to Section 183(b), both of the Tax Code.
