October 30, 1967 The Project Director Statistical Research and Development Project Office of Statistical Coordination and Standard National Economic Council S i r : With reference to your letter dated October 27, 1967, requesting that this Office allow Misses Teofista Yorro and Estrella de Vera, Staff members of your Office, to look into financial statements of a number of firms for the purpose of extracting pertinent data needed in the preparation of the 115 x 115 version of the input-output table of our Philippine economy, I have the honor to inform you that your request is hereby granted, subject to the condition that this authority is limited to the gathering of aggregate data pertaining to the firms but without identifying them or linking them to the data gathered. cdt In this connection, you are advised that should you effect the publication of the figures you gather and identify the taxpayers concerned, you may be held criminally liable under Section 349 of the Tax Code (provisions thereof were quoted in our letter to you dated January 20, 1967).
