Box 589, Manila S i r : This refers to your letter, dated March 29, 1969, regarding your request on behalf of your client, Philippine Paint Manufacturers, Inc., that it be absolved from any penalty, surcharge or interest in effecting immediate payment of the tax withheld by it at source during the first quarter of 1968. Considering the reasons stated in your letter and the fact that the tax to be paid by your client corresponds to the first quarter of 1968 and your client offered to voluntarily pay the said tax immediately, your request is hereby granted.
