May 24, 1973 American Steamship Agencies, Inc. 701 Rufino Bldg. Ayala Avenue Makati, Rizal Gentlemen : In reply to your letter dated May 23, 1973, I have the honor to inform you that there is no special form of quarterly declarations for use of international carriers in declaring their gross Philippine billings for purposes of the 2 % income tax imposed by Section 24(b) of the Tax Code, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 69. Accordingly, in paying their quarterly income tax, pursuant to Supplement B, Title II of the Tax Code, as inserted by Presidential Decree No. 30, said international carriers may use BIR Form No. 1702 Q which is used by corporations required to file quarterly declarations. In accomplishing said forms, the terms "gross Philippine billings" should be substituted in lieu of gross income. No document is required to be attached to the said form. cdtech Very truly yours, (SGD.) CONRADO P. DIAZ Acting Commissioner of Internal Revenue
