April 14, 1977 The Regional Director Revenue Region No. 11-B Davao City S i r : This refers to your radiogram requesting information whether you can accept the designation as Chairman of the Advance Gifts Division in that City for the 30th Annual Fund Campaign of the National Red Cross pursuant to Proclamation No. 1608 of the President of the Philippines. You also requested information if you can participate in other fund drives being conducted regularly by charitable and religious institutions. In reply, you are informed that you cannot accept the above designation in the Philippine National Red Cross nor can you participate actively in other fund drives, as to accept such a designation, or to participate in any fund drive constitutes violation of existing prohibition contained in Memorandum Circular No. 29, s. 1964 of the Commissioner of Civil Service and Department Memorandum Order No. 1-66 dated January 28, 1966 of the Secretary of Finance embodied in Revenue Memorandum Order No. 13-66 dated February 13, 1966, copies of which are hereto attached. cdta Very truly yours, EFREN I.
