June 11, 1969 Mr. Serafin Aquino Executive Secretary-Treasurer Philippine Amateur Athletic Federation P. O. Box 2272 Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated June 3, 1969 requesting that the additional members of the Amateur Softball Association now competing in the regional softball championships in San Francisco, New York and other cities of the United States starting June 11 to July 8, 1969, namely: cdt 1. Guillermo Calayca 2. Emily Maco 3. Letty Gempisao 4. Gloria Dallan be exempted from securing the tax clearance certificate as required by Section 343 and 344 of the Tax Code. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that it appearing that the aforementioned athletes are additional delegates of the Philippine Amateur Softball Association to the Regional Softball Championships; that the transportation expenses of said athletes will be borne by the PAAF; that under Republic Act No. 3135 the PAAF is exempt from all taxes; and that the above named athletes will return to the Philippines after the termination of the games, your request is hereby granted. This will serve as authority to any transportation company by air or water to issue passage tickets to all persons hereinabove named without the presentation of the tax clearance certificates ordinarily required of those leaving this country.
