April 3, 1970 Mr. Francisco A. Santos Office of the Collection Agent Vintar, Ilocos Norte S i r : This refers to your letter dated February 20, 1970 requesting permission to act and appear as Defense Counsel of Mr. Jose A. Damo, a close relative of yours from Laoag City who is allegedly charged before the City Court of Laoag for the crime of Serious Physical Injuries, for reasons stated therein. cd In reply, you are informed that your request is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1. That this permission granted you is limited only to your appearance as counsel for Mr. Jose A. Damo; 2. That you shall not accept attorney's fees; 3. That during the dates of hearing of the aforesaid case, you must file your leave of absence; 4. That you shall see to it that your handling of the case does not conflict with or prejudice the handling of cases in the Bureau of Internal Revenue. The imposition of the above conditions is necessary so that your appearance will not be considered an active private practice of the law profession. acd Very truly yours, MISAEL P.
