February 11, 1966 3rd Indorsement Respectfully returned to the Provincial Treasurer, City of Tacloban, the within papers relative to the request of the Bureau of Supply Coordination, Department of General Services, 29 Quezon Boulevard Extension, Quezon City for specifications and descriptions of standards for testing weights and measures. llcd For his information, there are reproduced below Sections 2 and 3 of the Regulations No. 6, viz: "Section 2. Each provincial treasurer shall secure through the Bureau of Supply upon requisition of the Bureau of Internal Revenue sets of the following standards of weights and measures: "(a) Linear measure One brass meter; "(b) Dry measure Brass rods for measuring sides of 75, 25, 3, 1, 1/2, 2/10 and 1/10 liter dry measures; "(c) Liquid measures One set of cylindrical copper measures: 2 liters, one; 1 liter, one; liter, one; 2 deciliters, one; 1 deciliter, one; deciliter, one; One set of measuring flasks of glass: One of 1,000 cu.cm. (1 liter) One 500 cu.cm. ( liter) One of 200 cu.cm. (2 deciliters) One of 100 cu.cm. (1 deciliter) One of 50 cu.cm. ( deciliter) One of 10 cu.cm. (1/10 deciliter) "(d) Weights for scales and balances 1,000 grams, one; 500 grams, one; 200 grams, two; 100 grams, one; 20 grams, two; 10 grams, one; 5 grams, one; 2 grams, two; 1 gram, one; 500 milligrams, one; 200 mm., two; 100 mm., one; 50 mm., one; 20 mm., two; 1 kilogram, one; 2 kilograms, one; 5 kilograms, one; 10 kilograms, one. "Before being forwarded to the provincial or deputy provincial treasurers the secondary standards of weights and measures for use of the former and the standard of weights and measures to be used the latter acting as sealers shall be compared with the fundamental standard in the Bureau of Science and when found to be sufficiently accurate shall be distinguished by a label, tag or seal, and shall be accompanied by a certificate showing the amount of variation from the fundamental standards. Each deputy provincial treasurer shall secure from the Bureau of Supply a set of municipal standards of weights and measures, consisting of the following: Small weights, 500 grams to 20 milligrams; Large Weights of 1, 2, 5, and 10 kilograms; Scale pan weighing 500 grams; Metric metal tape measure 1 meter long; Copper cylindrical liquid measures 2, 1, 1/2, 1/10 and 1/20 liters; Brass rods for 75, 25, 3, 1, 1/2, 2/10 and 10 liter measure.
