July 30, 1968 Mr. Marcelino M. Agapinan Collection Agents Division BIR Manila Dear Sir : This refers to your letter dated July 22, 1968 requesting that you be permitted to appear as counsel for and in behalf of your brother-in-law, Jose F. Anastacio, accused in Criminal Case No. 9487, CFI, Aparri, Cagayan, who cannot afford to avail the services of another lawyer. In reply, you are informed that there being justification for your appearing in said case and that there is no law or regulation prohibiting your appearance, your request is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1. That this permission granted is limited to your appearing as counsel on behalf of your brother-in-law in Criminal Case No. 9487, Aparri, Cagayan; 2. That you shall not accept attorney's fees; 3. That on the dates the aforesaid case is heard, you must file your leave of absence for said dates; 4. That you shall see to it that the handling of the case will not, in any way, prejudice your work in the Bureau of Internal Revenue The imposition of the above conditions is necessary so that your appearances will not be considered an active private practice of the law profession. cdta Very truly yours, (SGD.)
