January 23, 1974 Mr. Josef Datoc Nisce Safety Consultants (Phil.), Inc. 707 Sarmiento Bldg., Ayala Ave. Makati, Rizal S i r : In connection with your letter dated January 11, 1974 requesting exemption from the occupation tax as a registered Electronics and Communication Engineer, Assistant Electrical Engineer and Master Electrician, please be informed that the same has been forwarded to the Secretary of Finance for appropriate action inasmuch as the power to levy and collect the occupation tax has been transferred from the National Government to the Provincial or City Government, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 231, otherwise known as the "Local Tax Code".
