Pineda Chief Accountant Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated January 6, 1969, requesting information whether the 100% additional documentary stamp tax can be affixed on checks by means of the Pitney Bowes Documentary Stamp Meter. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that the same may be allowed provided that a separate stamp meter is used to print the science stamps and that a permit for the use thereof is secured from this Office. aisa dc However, the granting and issuance of such permit shall be subject to the saw conditions required for the use of the documentary stamp meter for the regular stamps.
