Box 2272 Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated October 2, 1969 requesting that Mr. Felipe Monserrat and you, President and Executive Sec.-Treasurer of PAAF, respectively, be exempted from securing the tax clearance certificate as required by Sections 343 and 344 of the Tax Code. It appears that both of you are attending the Council Congress of the Asian Games Federation Council at Bangkok, Thailand, on November 4 to 6, 1969 and that your expenses for the trip will be borne by the PAAF. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that since you are going to the said Congress as representatives of the Philippines which is a member of the Asian Games Federation Council and therefore your trip is considered official, your request is hereby granted. This will serve as authority to any transportation company by air or water to issue passage tickets to both of you without the presentation of the tax clearance certificate ordinarily required by those leaving the country.
