August 17, 1972 Mr. Laurence Que Merlin Industrial Corporation 50 Joy Street, Grace Village Balintawak, Quezon City S i r : With reference to your letter dated August 15, 1972, I have the honor to inform you that your importation of Sodium Aryl Sulfanate Compound which you will use in your manufacture of medicated hair shampoo is subject to 7% advance sales tax based on the landed cost thereof plus 25% mark-up pursuant to Section 186 of the Tax Code. cdt This will serve as authority for the Commissioner of Customs in effecting the release of your importation accordingly.
