March 13, 1975 Philippine Veterans Investment Development Corporation 4th Floor Cattleya Bldg. Salcedo St., Legaspi Village Makati, Rizal Attention: Mr . Teodoro P . Almueta President Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated January 22, 1975 requesting exemption from filing an income tax return in view of Presidential Decree No. 243, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 353, creating that corporation as a body corporate and politic. Pertinent portion of Section 6 of said Decree reads as follows: "Sec. 6. . . . "The Corporation shall be exempt from the payment of any and all taxes, duties, charges, fees and assessments of whatever nature and description imposed by any authority, whether national or local." In reply, I have the honor to inform you that under the aforequoted provision, that Corporation is exempt from the payment of all taxes, which includes income tax return. Very truly yours, (SGD.)
