Doronila Import Manager Gentlemen : This refers to your letter dated January 3, 1968 requesting information as to the rate of advance sales tax due on imported Strip Printer for Printers Typesetting. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that it appearing in the brochure submitted that the imported strip printer is a machine for printers to type-set with a strip-type instead of the conventional lead system of hot metal type, the same is subject to only 7% advance sales tax based on the landed cost thereof, plus 25% mark-up, pursuant to Section 183(b) in relation to Section 186, both of the Tax Code. lexlib Very truly yours, (SGD.)
