November 15, 1967 Mr. Eutiquio H. Saunar 985-B Camba Extension Tondo, Manila S i r : This refers to your letter dated November 10, 1967 stating that your brother, Moises H. Saunar is a member of the U.S. Navy presently assigned in Yokosuka, Japan; that on January 1968, he will be re-assigned in the U.S. Naval Base in Subic, Zambales; and that on October 20, 1967, his car, a 2 door hardtop 1964 Plymouth (Valiant) with Serial No. 3V442730422 arrived at Subic, Zambales on board a US Military Transport ship. It is also verbally represented that the car in question will be used by your brother during his tour of duty in the Philippines and will be re-shipped abroad after his tour of duty therein. cdtech You now request that the above described car be released from customs custody under bond. In reply, I have the honor to inform you that it being represented that the car in question will be re-shipped abroad after your brother's tour of duty in the Philippines, the same may be released from customs custody upon filing a suitable surety bond to guaranty reshipment of said car. This will serve as authority for the Bureau of Customs in effecting the release of the aforesaid car upon filing a sufficient bond to guaranty payment of the taxes that may be due thereon should your brother fail to reship the same within six months from the date hereof.
