KING Deputy Commissioner Resource Management Group ATTACHMENT June 29, 2012 DBM CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 012-12 TO : All Heads of Departments, Bureaus, Offices and Agencies of the National Government, Including State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs); Local Government Units (LGUs); and All Others Concerned SUBJECT : Employer (Government) Share in the Premium Contribution to PhilHealth 1.0 Purpose and Coverage This Circular is issued to prescribe and standardize the employer (government) share in the premium contribution to PhilHealth remitted to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) on behalf of government employees. It covers all national government agencies including SUCs, GOCCs and GFIs; and all LGUs. 2.0 Government Share in the Premium Contribution The premium contribution to PhilHealth of all government agencies for health insurance of their employees shall be in accordance with Item A of PhilHealth Circular No. 01, s. 2005, as shown in Annex A hereof, and as contained in DBM Circular Letter 2012-5 issued April 13, 2012. 3.0 Increase in Premium Contribution Henceforth, the government premium contribution to be remitted to PHIC shall be increased only upon appropriate advice or notice from the Department of Budget and Management. 4.0 Effectivity This Circular shall take effect immediately.
