Donations to Victims of Displaced BIR Families and Employees Due to Conflict in Zamboanga City and the Recent Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake in Bohol and Cebu City

October 22, 2013 BIR MEMORANDUM FOR : All Revenue Officials and Employees SUBJECT : Donations to Victims of Displaced BIR Families and Employees Due to Conflict in Zamboanga City and the Recent Magnitude 7.2 Earthquake in Bohol and Cebu City We all have witnessed the unfortunate events which happened in Zamboanga City and the magnitude 7.2 earthquake which hit Cebu and Bohol. These incidents caused the displacement of many families. Victims were left homeless with no food, no safe drinking water and no clothes to wear. As a way of extending help, we are encouraging everyone to extend assistance, either financial or in kind (food, water, clothes), to the affected families. All donations from employees assigned in the National Office shall be coursed through the Human Resource Development Service (HRDS). The Regional Directors shall spearhead the pooling of the contributions within their regions and the sending of donations to the proper coordinating offices. Donations in Cash shall be sent to Office of Deputy Commissioner, Resource Management Group, Attention HREA Myrna E. Sobremonte, Administrative Service , while assistance in kind shall be coordinated with and shipped to Office of the Regional Director of Revenue Region No. 13 Cebu City and Revenue Region No. 15 Zamboanga City, Attention: Chief, Administrative Division. The Regional Director of Revenue Region Nos. 13 and 15 shall organize a team who will ensure that the relief/aid will reach the intended beneficiaries.
