The Department of Finance Revenue Integrity Protection Service (DOF-RIPS) has received persistent and disturbing reports that certain unscrupulous personnel have been employing the names of certain key officers thereof the undersigned, in particular for the purpose of committing extortion, intimidation, blackmail, and other sundry illegal activities, ostensibly targeting, among others, officers and personnel of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). To be sure, the undersigned categorically condemns such reprehensible activities, which are neither sanctioned nor tolerated by the officialdom of DOF-RIPS, and appears to be the handiwork of a few misguided elements, bent on pursuing their own twisted agenda and sordid motives in the premises, at the expense of the institution, as well as its officers and personnel who have legitimately endeavored to make DOF-RIPS an effective anti-corruption unit. 3. In light of the foregoing and to put an end to any further speculation and/or doubt you are hereby expressly enjoined, effective immediately, to report to DOF-RIPS, through the undersigned, any and all acts of extortion, blackmail, harassment, or other improper/questionable conduct, committed by persons claiming to be affiliated with DOF-RIPS, or on behalf of any of the officers and/or personnel thereof for immediate investigation and/or criminal prosecution, as may be warranted under the circumstances.
