Santiago relative to the above-mentioned subject matter. You are enjoined to post the copy of this issuance in your Office Bulletin Board, or in a conspicuous place within your Office, to ensure that it shall be given the most extensive publicity possible. Santiago SUBJECT : Observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) 26 June 2013 Please be informed that pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 264 dated 01 June 1988, the 26th of June of every year has been declared as "International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking" (IDADAIT). This declaration is in support of the resolution passed by the UN General Assembly on 07 December 1987. SDHETI The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has updated this year's IDADAIT campaign theme to be "Make health your 'new high' in life, not drugs" for adoption by all members countries. The UNODC cites this year's theme as a call for the public to be wary of new psychoactive substances (NSPs) that, despite their semblance of legality, still pose harm because of their adverse effects and addictive potential. In this connection, your office is enjoined to participate actively in the said event by organizing activities to celebrate the occasion. Thank you for your usual support and cooperation. (SGD.)
