October 5, 2017 BANK BULLETIN NO. 14-17 SUBJECT : Installation of the Limited Bank Data Entry System (LBDES) in Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 TO : All Authorized Agent Banks In connection with the incompatibility of the Limited Bank Data Entry System (LBDES) with the upgraded version of Microsoft Windows operating system, particularly Windows 7 and 10, all Authorized Agent Banks (AABs) are hereby advised on the procedures on how to install and run the above LBDES on said versions: For Windows 7: 1. Download and Install Windows Virtual PC. 2. Download and Install Windows XP Mode in Windows Virtual PC. For Windows 10: 1. Download and Install Oracle Virtual Manager. 2. Install Windows XP OS in Oracle Virtual Manager. Do not proceed if XP Mode and Virtual has not been installed in Windows 7 ; Do not proceed if Oracle Virtual Manager and Windows XP has not been installed in Windows 10 . 3. Open Windows Explorer. 4. Copy all LBDES installer files to Drive C. 5. Click on Start, and choose Run. . . 6. Type cmd on the command line and hit Enter. 7. On the command prompt, type CD\ and hit Enter. 8. Type as_ins and press Enter. Follow instructions on screen. 9. Type edit c:\windows\system32\config.nt and hit Enter. 10. Scroll down to the bottom of the file and add the following lines if not found or replace if found: files = 100 buffers = 100 11. Press ALT + F+ S to save the file. 12. Press ALT + F + X to exit the editor. 13. Type EXIT on the command line and hit Enter. 14. Restart XP Mode. 15. After restart, open Windows Explorer. 16. Go to C:\de011 folder. 17.
