Acceptance of Payment for All Taxpayers Within the Area of Jurisdiction of Revenue Region (RR) No. 2-CAR

March 2, 2021 BANK BULLETIN NO. 04-21 TO : All BIR Authorized Agent Banks SUBJECT : Acceptance of Payment for All Taxpayers Within the Area of Jurisdiction of Revenue Region (RR) No. 2-CAR This bank bulletin is issued to address the restrictions being encountered by taxpayers registered under RR No. 2, Cordillera Administrative Region particularly Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 7-Abra, RDO No. 8-Baguio City, RDO No. 9-Benguet, RDO No. 10-Mt. Province, RDO No. 11-Kalinga, Apayao and RDO No. 12-Ifugao in the filing of their returns and paying their taxes due to stricter quarantine protocols, limited capacity of mass transportation and restricted mobility of taxpayers. In view of the above, all AABs within the jurisdiction of RR No. 2 are hereby advised to: 1. Accept all tax payments from taxpayers registered under the aforementioned revenue district offices, even out-of-district returns. a. Batch the out-of-district returns separately; and b. Encode the tax payment data using the Limited Bank Data Entry System (LBDES)/Bank System indicating the Revenue District Office (RDO) of the accepting AAB branch in the required field of the LBDES/Bank system and NOT the RDO Number of the taxpayer. DETACa 2. Accept check payments from any taxpayer registered under RR No. 2 even without the name of the receiving AAB branch indicated in the check, provided that these check tax payments are payable to the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
