An Ordinance Granting Tax Exemptions To Lot No. 983

August 2, 2006 BAGO CITY ORDINANCE NO. 015-06 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TAX EXEMPTIONS TO LOT NO. 983 LOCATED AT BARANGAY TABUNAN, BAGO CITY AND COVERED BY TRANSFER CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NO. T-24632 WITH A TOTAL AREA OF 319,902 SQUARE METERS Explanatory Note : WHEREAS, in his letter, the Hon. Governor Joseph G. Maraon request for the exemption of the Province from the payment of Transfer Tax of Lot 983 which will be devoted to projects like the Negros Occidental Integrated Correctional and Agri-Technology Farm and other portions will be utilized by the National Food Authority, Silk Industry and Organization for Industrial, Spiritual, and Cultural Advancement (OISCA); WHEREAS, the Provincial Legal Office cited, as their legal basis, Sections 133 that provides the Common Limitations on the Taxing Powers of Local Government Units and 234 that provides Exemptions from Real Property Tax, of the Local Government Code. On motion of Sanggunian Member Alberto Y. Hidalgo, duly seconded by Sanggunian Members Rosario F. Gaudite, Nicholas M. Yulo, Serafin Z. Jara, Romeo C. Obando, the Sanggunian. Be it enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Bago, that: SECTION 1. The granting of tax exemptions to Lot No. 983 located at Barangay Tabunan, this City, is hereby approved; SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Bago in its 1322nd Regular Session today, August 2, 2006.
