An Ordinance Amending Section 1, Article V of City Ordinance No. 216, Series of 1998, Otherwise Referred to as the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bacolod"

May 14, 2014 BACOLOD CITY ORDINANCE NO. 08-14-672 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1, ARTICLE V OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 216, SERIES OF 1998, OTHERWISE REFERRED TO AS THE "COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BACOLOD" WHEREAS, Section 5, Article VII and Section 9, article XI of said Ordinance No. 216, series of 1998, otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bacolod" authorize modifications or amendments of some provisions thereof; HTcADC WHEREAS, there is a need to clarify, modify and/or amend certain provisions of said Ordinance No. 216, series of 1998, specifically, Sections 1, Article V thereof, to update the classification of the zone boundaries in Barangay 39 in Bacolod City in keeping with their current land use and in order to pave the way for their development for the benefit of the City of Bacolod and the Province of Negros Occidental. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod that: SECTION 1. The textual description of the zone boundaries and classification of Barangay 39 of Bacolod City, in Section 1, Article V of City Ordinance No. 216, series of 1998, shall be amended herein to read as follows: CAIHTE Barangay 39 Institutional The lot/area occupied by the Paglaum Sports Complex, Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) and the Negros Occidental High School is declared as an Institutional Zone. Commercial The lot/area occupied by the Negros First Cyber Centre and the rest of the territorial jurisdiction of Barangay 39 is declared as Commercial Zone. SECTION 2. The declaration/confirmation or amendments, as the case may be, in Section 1 hereof shall supersede the classification of the zone boundaries of Barangay 39 of Bacolod City in the Official Zoning Map. SECTION 3. Repealing Clause. Any provision of City Ordinance No. 216, series of 1998, as amended or the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bacolod" or other ordinances of the City of Bacolod that may be in conflict with this ordinance shall be repealed, modified or amended accordingly. SECTION 4. Separability Clause. The provisions of City Ordinance No. 216, series of 1998, as amended or the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Bacolod" or other ordinances of Bacolod City not affected, repealed or modified by the provisions of this ordinance shall remain valid and enforceable.
