Ordinance Amending Chapter V, Article C of Tax Ordinance No. 1, Series of 1993, Providing Penalties for Violation Thereof and for Other Purposes

ALAMINOS CITY ORDINANCE NO. 006-16 ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER V, ARTICLE C (SLAUGHTER AND CORRAL FEES) OF TAX ORDINANCE NO. 1, SERIES OF 1993, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL REVENUE CODE OF 1993 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALAMINOS, PANGASINAN, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES EXPLANATORY NOTE WHEREAS , the Alaminos City Abattoir was accredited under Category "AA" by the National Meat Inspection Service; aTHCSE WHEREAS , the minimal fees and charges being imposed at the City Abattoir were not amended or increased since the implementation of the Local Revenue Code; WHEREAS , the schedule of fees and other related charges that the City Government collect at the City abattoir is far lower compared to the fees and charges imposed by other cities and municipalities in the Province of Pangasinan; WHEREAS , Chapter V, Article C of Tax Ordinance No. 1, series of 1993 of the Municipality of Alaminos provides: (a) Permit to slaughter, per head: Large Cattle Php10.00 Hogs, goat, sheep and others 5.00 (b) Slaughter Fee per Head: (1) For public consumption Large Cattle Php10.00 Hogs 5.00 Goats, Sheep, and others 5.00 (c) Corral Fee per head, per day of fraction thereof: AHDacC Large Cattle Php4.00 Hogs 2.00 Goats, sheep and others 2.00 WHEREFORE , premises considered, and on motion of Councilor Cirilo B. Radoc, co-sponsored by Councilor Rufina J. Gabriel, duly seconded by Councilor Alfred Felix E. de Castro; cAaDHT BE IT ENACTED as it is hereby ENACTED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Alaminos, Pangasinan in session duly assembled that CHAPTER V, ARTICLE C (SLAUGHTER AND CORRAL FEES) OF TAX ORDINANCE NO. 1, SERIES OF 1993, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE LOCAL REVENUE CODE OF 1993 OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALAMINOS, PANGASINAN, is hereby amended to read : FEES AND CHARGES PER HEAD: A. HOG, GOAT, ETC.: 1. Slaughter Permit - Php10.00 2. Slaughter Fee - 20.00 3. Corral Fee - 20.00 4. Ante-Mortem Fee - 5.00 5. Post-Mortem - 30.00 6. Facility Fee (Light/Water) - 20.00 7. Service (Janitorial/Utility) - 15.00 TOTAL - Php120.00 ========= B. CATTLE, CARABAO: 1. Slaughter Permit - Php20.00 2. Slaughter Fee - 40.00 3. Corral Fee - 40.00 4. Ante-Mortem Fee - 10.00 5. Post-Mortem - 50.00 6. Facility Fee (Light/Water) - 40.00 7. Service (Janitorial/Utility) - 40.00 TOTAL - Php240.00 ========= That these amended rates of fees and other related charges shall increase at the rate of ten percent (10%) every five years upon its implementation. SECTION VI. Separability Clause . If any provision of this ordinance or the application of such provision to any person or circumstance is declared invalid, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affected. IDSEAH SECTION VII. Repealing Clause . Any ordinance, rules and regulations, or other issuances inconsistent with this ordinance is hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly. SECTION VIII. Effectivity . This ordinance shall take effect after compliance with the statutory provisions.
