AKLAN GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 009-20 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER III, FEES AND CHARGES, ARTICLE R, OF GENERAL ORDI NANCE NO. 2019-002, ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE ADOPT ING THE 2020 REVENUE CODE OF THE PROVINCE OF AKLAN,' BY ADDING SECTION 35 WHICH FIXES THE RENTAL CHARGES ON SPACES OCCUPIED BY AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES (ATMs) INSTALLED BY BANKING AND OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES OWNED AND MAINTAINED BY THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF AKLAN Sponsored by: Hon. Sodusta WHEREAS , certain banking and other financial institutions had declared their intent to install Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in buildings and structures in different locations within the Province of Aklan owned and maintained by the Provincial Government; WHEREAS , the installation of these ATMs in buildings and structures owned and maintained by the Province of Aklan in the different locations within Aklan's territorial jurisdiction is aimed not only to expand the services of the Provincial Government in serving its clients and constituencies but also enhance the revenue generation capability of the Local Government Unit and provide improved and convenient business climate in the province. NOW, THEREFORE , be it ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Aklan to: SECTION 1. To amend General Ordinance No. 2019-002, "An Ordinance Adopting the 2020 Revenue Code of the Province of Aklan," by adding and fixing the rental charges on spaces occupied by Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) installed by banking and other financial institutions in buildings and structures owned and maintained by the Provincial Government of Aklan to be denominated as Section 35 of Article R (Other Service Fees and Charges), Chapter 3 (Fees and Charges) of Ordinance No. 2019-002. SECTION 2. Section 35 of Article R, Chapter III of Ordinance No. 2019-002 shall read as follows: "Section 35. RENTAL RATES ON SPACES OCCUPIED BY ATMS Areas Monthly Rate Paseo de Akean and other buildings and structures owned by the Provincial Government elsewhere in the Province, except Caticlan and Cagban Jetty Ports and Terminals in Boracay Island Php7,000.00 /month inclusive of electricity consumption and subject to 5% escalation rate annually starting on the 3rd year Caticlan and Cagban Jetty Ports and Terminals Php7,500.00 /month inclusive of electricity consumption and subject to 5% escalation rate annually starting on the 3rd year SECTION 3. Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect after its publication for three (3) consecutive issues in a newspaper of general circulation in the Province of Aklan. aScITE ENACTED, DECEMBER 1, 2020.
